Solar Street Lighting launches £3.5 billion green energy fund scheme
A leading provider of solar street lighting has launched a green energy fund scheme to help local authorities and UK companies reduce carbon emissions and energy costs all year round.
Solar Street Lighting, based in Manchester, is offering a 100%, interest free, financial package to help organisations finance the installation of solar street lighting.
The fund is suitable for Government, semi Government bodies and established corporate or blue chip companies with a record of trading for more than three years.
Applications take no longer than 48 hours, and once approved Solar Street Lighting will install the chosen green energy lighting solutions.
The repayments are paid back over a three to five year period from the green energy savings made, and costs savings are made from day one of installation. Once the lighting is installed, total monthly energy costs will be reduced to 20%. 60% of the savings will be used to repay the fund, leaving a saving of 20% that is used for the on-grid energy cost.
Once the fund is repaid over the agreed period, the end user will only have to pay 20% of the grid costs, making an overall saving of 80%.
The finance package is acquired through the European Green Fund.
Navid Dean, CEO of Solar Street Lighting, said: “With worrying issues of global warming, and local authorities and UK companies under ever increasing pressure to reduce carbon emissions and reduce costs, we wanted to play our part in helping to minimise the carbon footprint. Therefore, we have launched this scheme to make solar energy lighting solutions accessible and affordable.
“The fund can be used to replace halogen lighting and florescent tube lighting in various areas such as government buildings, halls of residents, hospitals, and council buildings.
“The concept is simple and delivers significant savings, whilst also helping organisations to become more energy efficient.”
Solar Street Lighting is dedicated to providing clean, affordable, sustainable, high quality street lighting that is totally off grid and free of day-to-day running costs.
