Livepoint launches new software system

Wirral-based Livepoint Software Solutions has launched a cloud-based software system to help tradespeople save time and cash by slashing down on paperwork.

Graftman brings together documents and records starting from the quotation stage of a project through to the final invoice.

The system, which can be accessed by anyone involved in a job, is aimed at the construction industry, as well as electricians, gas fitters, joiners, decorators, plumbers and roofers.

Livepoint Business Development Manager Liz Ellis said the software system aims to breakdown time-consuming administration tasks, enabling those involved in trades to concentrate on what they do best.

“Creating and sending an invoice takes just seconds using the system, which allows users to be more organised and to keep track of a job every step of the way,” she said. “We’ve trialled the Graftman system with a number of customers and one has reported a 50pc saving in admin time, which is the main advantage for all our customers.

“It enables them to monitor every step of the process, providing increased compliance and customer satisfaction. They also have accurate and detailed records of all the work they do, the time it took and which staff member was involved at each stage, providing better accountability.”

The system, which can be accessed using a phone or tablet, works by logging every process involved in a job and producing a workflow that can be used by different employees. An admin worker may log onto the system to allocate roles to different employees, who then sign in to see their jobs and update the record with their own progress along the way.

Risk assessments and safety certificates can be completed via the Graftman account and individual workers can upload photographs to show their progress, for example to demonstrate work done on a new roof.

Liz said another advantage is that customers can be given access to their own account so they can keep track of progress on a job.

“One of our users, a roofing business, works for a large retail company, which has multiple sites,” he said.

“The retailer can send them multiple jobs and keep track of progress in one central location, which has huge advantages for them.

“Private customers can log into their account to see a history of work carried out for them, allowing them to check when their boiler was last serviced, for example.

“Graftman allows the move from a paper system or a range of spreadsheets to everything being together, accessible, professional and compliant.”
