There’s just enough time to enter the fifth North East Wildlife Photography Competition, hosted by Northumberland, Durham and Tees Valley Wildlife Trusts, together with the Natural History Society of Northumbria (NHSN), the Great North Museum: Hancock and Alan Hewitt Photography.
Nestlé Fawdon, which has supported the competition since its launch in 2012, is the main sponsor, and, as with previous years an array of wonderful prizes are on offer including a £250 voucher from London Camera Exchange, binoculars, photography workshops, wildlife watching trips, birdwatching workshops and photography equipment.
There are six competition categories, entry is free and is open to everyone, but photographs must have been taken in the North East. To enter, and for more information, visit www.northeastwildlifephoto.co.uk The competition closes at midnight, Monday 15 May 2017. Winners will be announced at the Great North Museum: Hancock Awards Ceremony on Thursday 6 July 2017, where the guest speaker will be ‘The Urban Birder’ (AKA David Lindo)
A broadcaster, writer and tour leader, David’s main mission in life is to engage city people around the world with the plentiful urban nature that surrounds them. He is a regular television and radio presenter and has been featured on the BBC, ITV and Channel 4 in the UK as well as other TV channels around the world including CBS in the United States.
