Major energy consultancy standing up for wildlife

Northumberland Wildlife Trust is delighted to welcome The Green Energy Advice Bureau as its latest Gold Category corporate member.

Based in South Shields, The GEAB is one of the UK’s leading independent commercial energy consultancies, with clients from many sectors including charities/not-for-profit organisations, education providers, the public sector, SMEs to multi-nationals all benefitting from a full end-to-end service.

Its strong team of 20 consultants and market analysts, led by director Paul Cobb, work closely with organisations to evaluate their needs and requirements, helping them develop a full understanding of their energy usage and expenditure, which helps The GEAB’s team evaluate future requirements and build a detailed proposal outlining the best way for them to minimise future utility expenditure and also develop an energy efficiency plan to help cut carbon footprint and reduce energy wastage. In addition to its procurement services, The Green Energy Advice Bureau is also able to provide a range of energy management services including DEC Certificates, ESOS Compliance and energy site audits.

Welcoming The Green Energy Advice Bureau to its ‘family’ of corporate Members, Northumberland Wildlife Trust Chief Executive Mike Pratt said:

“It is wonderful that such a successful organisation has decided to support a wildlife charity such as ourselves. It is also great that The Green Energy Advice Bureau has a real commitment advising its clients on how to care for, and reduce their impact on the environment.

“Their financial support will enable us to protect the natural heritage of the region - from dormice and otters to vital peat bog restoration and tree planting to ensure that the wildlife of Northumberland remains intact for future generations to enjoy.

Mike concluded: “Wildlife is now facing more challenges than ever before and certainly, since the wildlife trust movement was founded over 100 years ago - wildlife can’t stand up for itself, so if we don’t do it, who will? This is why the support from our corporate members such as The Green Energy Advice Bureau is so important to us.”

Paul Cobb, the Director of The GEAB said: “We truly believe that there is nothing more important than supporting the local community and charities such as Northumberland Wildlife Trust which fights for such an important cause.’’
