New £3m business park in Hull nears completion
A brand new £3m business park in Hull is due to be completed shortly.
The Ideal Business Park on National Avenue has been developed by the Lightowler facilities management group, which moved its headquarters to the site.
The six buildings on the one acre business park can be divided into 11 separate units, offering a total of 27,500 sq ft of office accommodation combined with warehousing, workshop or storage facilities.
Charles Lightowler, chief executive of the Lightowler Group, said: “This project has been a speculative build but we have operated in the area for 150 years and we wanted to reinvest in the local infrastructure and create an excellent business hub for local companies.
“We believe the units will attract interest from a wide range of companies, particularly those who conduct a substantial volume of their business on the internet and need quality office space with warehouse facilities for stock and returns.
“There are plenty of industrial premises in Hull offering a large warehouse with a small office in the corner but we are providing top quality offices for companies who really value their staff and image.”
The Ideal Business Park is electronically gated and CCTV controlled for maximum security and the units have electrically operated goods doors, fitted kitchens, LED low energy lighting, high thermal efficiency, optional photovoltaic solar panels and electric vehicle charge points.
When all the units have been let the site will accommodate approximately 100 people.
Ben Cooper, an associate agency surveyor with sole letting agents PPH Commercial, commented: “It’s very unusual to get a project like this developed on a speculative basis and it’s even more unusual to have a business park that can offer such high quality office accommodation combined with workshop or storage space.”
