1 Sterling Way at Capitol Park Leeds.

Newly revamped Capitol Park Leeds building hits the market

The refurbished 1 Sterling Way, located in Capitol Park Leeds, has hit the market.

The new-look, self-contained office building was officially launched to the market this week.

The two-storey building, comprising 4,850 sq ft of office space, is located at Capitol Park East, adjacent to Junction 28 of the M62 and accessed from Dewsbury Road (A653).

This business park provides good access to Yorkshire’s motorway network (M62/M1) and is less than seven miles south of Leeds city centre.

Elizabeth Ridler, partner specialising in office agency with Knight Frank in Leeds, commented: “The imaginative refurbishment of 1 Sterling Way has transformed a tired building into quality offices, fit for the 21st century. It is now available to lease or buy, depending on an occupier’s needs.

“1 Sterling Way is an integral part of the award-winning Capitol Park, developed by Sterling Capital. Capitol Park is a well-established with neighbouring office occupiers including the NHS, Hermes, Henderson Insurance Brokers, De Puy (Johnson & Johnson) and Ideal Heating. A Village Hotel is also located at the heart of the park.”

Ms Ridler added: “Capital Park has seen a number of deals during the past year, underlining the resilience of the out-of-town investment and occupational market in Yorkshire.

“There has been some uncertainty in the market, but these deals have underlined that there is still a healthy appetite for well-located and attractive properties at Capitol Park.”

Richard Thornton of joint marketing agents JLL, also said: “Given the popularity of Capitol Park, we expect a high level of interest in 1 Sterling Way. The park ticks all the boxes. It is next to the M62 and within five minutes of the M1, so it has tremendous access to Yorkshire’s superb motorway network. Its excellent facilities, including the very popular Village Hotel, and competitive rents make it one of the finest business parks in the north of England.”

Mike Heydecke, director of Sterling Capitol, commented: “We are absolutely delighted with the refurbishment of 1 Sterling Way and we look forward to welcoming new occupiers soon.

“Apart from the quality of the modern office space, it has 27 car parking spaces and state-of-the-art LED lighting, which will make the building very attractive to potential tenants or buyers.”

The Leeds office of Carter Towler is also marketing 1 Sterling Way.
