£5k Worth of Stationery Donated to Children’s Charity
This year’s London Stationery Show saw the biggest charitable donation made in the show’s history. A team of fundraisers from tuition company, Explore Learning, received an overwhelming donation of stationery from exhibitors for their charity partner Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity. The donated stationery will be divided between 50+ Roald Dahl specialist children’s nurses, based at hospitals all over the UK, who will pass the items on to seriously ill children and young people under their care.
To date Explore Learning, the popular provider of maths and English tuition, has succeeded in raising close to £17,000 pounds in just over a year for the charity.
Rob Hicks, Managing Director at Explore Learning says: “We knew Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity would be the prefect fit for a partnership and we are really pleased to have exceeded our £12,000 donation target over the first twelve months. The London Stationery Show was a huge success for the charity and will aid in helping children across the UK that benefit from the charity’s brilliant service.”
Clare Eynon from Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity says: “We are absolutely delighted to be supported by National Stationery Week this year. As a small national charity, working in the area of specialist nursing care for children and young people with complex care needs, we are committed to working alongside the NHS to fund nurses operating in, for example: the fields of epilepsy, rare diseases, sickle cell & thalassemia, neuromuscular conditions and brain injury. We look forward to seeing the creative results inspired by these generous gifts.”
