Stockton storage firm targets national growth with £1m fleet investment
Stockton-headquartered Mobile Mini is looking to further its UK operations after investing £1m into new mobile welfare units.
The firm, which provides the hire of portable site accommodation and secure storage containers, has added Groundhog GP360 Fusion units to its fleet which purpose built for construction sites without water or electricity connections.
Mobile Mini, which has 16 branches nationwide including sites at Middlesbrough and Sunderland, is planning to increase the size of its mobile welfare fleet by 50% by June this year.
The investment in the Groundhog units follows recent growth and record results for the company when its annual income hit £59.8m for 2016 - a 3.8% increase on 2015.
Chris Morgan, Managing Director at Mobile Mini, said: “We’re delighted to have a growing fleet of the most advanced mobile welfare unit on offer in the UK, which will enhance our growth both here in the North East and across the UK.
“It was great to see how the units were received by our customers when we first added them to our fleet and we are sure this will continue to be the case, as Genquip Groundhog is still recognised as the market leader in mobile welfare units.”
