National accountancy network targets Yorkshire workforce to roll out further expansion plans
TaxAssist Accountants, the national accountancy network, is rolling out a recruitment drive in Yorkshire to increase its presence in the region.
The company, which offers a dedicated service for small businesses, is searching for accountants looking to start their own practice in Scarborough, Leeds, Bradford, Sheffield and Scunthorpe to join its 200-strong network of independent accountancy practices across the country.
James Mattam, group business development director at TaxAssist Accountants, said: “Yorkshire and the Humber is a thriving centre for small businesses, with an estimated 391,000 across the region.
“We’ve just opened our 200th shop in Bingley and the growth of consulting service providers, retailers and tradesmen is proving a real catalyst for our continued growth.
“We are looking for people, from either accountancy, banking or financial services backgrounds, who want to help business owners look after their tax and accountancy needs and who have an ambition to run their own practice, supported by a national network.
“From our experience in neighbouring towns, we know there will be people who are looking for the right opportunity, perhaps as the next step in a career in financial services or business management.
“Our network is bucking the national trend and seeing double digit growth year on year against a backdrop of slowdown in the accountancy industry generally.
“One of the main reasons is that we’ve adapted to changing client demands and offer a welcoming, jargon-free approach, with accountants in shop-front offices right on the high street. Small business clients really welcome that.”
TaxAssist Accountants is the UK’s largest national network of independent accountants working specifically for small business and currently serves over 65,000 business owners across the country.
