Popworld to launch new venue at Leeds' Millennium Square with £260k investment
A new party venue is set to open at Millennium Square in Leeds following a £260k investment.
Launching on the former Baa Bar site on Cookridge Street, Popworld will offcially open its 21st venue on May 26th.
The venue is set to play 90’s themed music such as the Spice Girls, S Club, Five and Steps, as well as offer a range of cocktails including the sweet-shop inspired Candy Pop, Tin Pop, Swedish jam-jar cocktail Flaska, and the bar’s famous giant cocktail Partini!
Alan Armstrong, head of marketing for Popworld, said: “Popworld is one the most popular clubbing brands in the UK and it was only a matter of time before we brought its colourful personality to Leeds.
“The city’s nightlife scene is already one of the best in the country, and given the increase in demand for the brand, we can’t wait to open our doors to the people of Yorkshire!
“To celebrate the launch S-Club 7 duo Jo and Bradley will be live on stage performing their greatest hits on Saturday 27th May.”
Popworld is part of the Stonegate Pub Company, which is the largest privately held managed pub operator in the UK, with revenues in excess of £625m. The company employs around 14,000 people.
