Europa to Achieve ‘Loxx’ More With New Partner
Europa Road, a dedicated division of ambitious independent logistics provider Europa Worldwide Group, has strengthened its German operation after forging a new partnership with another German forwarding company.
Europa and Loxx, which is headquartered in Gelsenkirchen in the Ruhr region, will start working together as of this month (May), enabling Europa to upscale its German operation by offering a further daily service between the UK and Germany – bringing its total to seven daily services in each direction.
Operations Director at Europa Worldwide Group Dan Cook said the new partnership with Loxx, combined with Europa’s existing relationship with Panalpina in Dusseldorf, is a considered and strategic move for the business in order to further improve product, customer service and transit times in this key industrial area of Germany.
He said: “Loxx is an independent and privately owned business, of a similar size to Europa, with a similar dedication to European road freight - so it is a perfect partner to help us boost our presence and reach in Germany.
“Loxx also appealed to us as a partner of choice because they already work with a number of our existing partners across Europe, which makes the relationship a smooth one from the start. The Ruhr region is one of the most active areas in Europe with a high level of imports and exports alike – so it makes sense to us to share our business here between two partners to enhance our service levels and increase competitiveness.”
Europa’s 1Hub headquarters in Dartford offers daily groupage lines to 10 distribution centres throughout the UK, meaning exports and imports only take 48 hours from the Ruhr area to the majority of Britain and vice versa.
Dan added: “A key value of Europa is to drive out complexity – and we try to achieve this in all decisions we make. Europa has bold ambitions for growth, aiming to be the number one distributor of goods between Europe and the UK by next year, so it is crucial that we have the right partner framework in place to achieve this.
“We’re sure that our new partnership with Loxx will help us to grow our volume of consignments, improve our product quality, make us more competitive and ensure we continue to provide first-rate customer service in Germany and beyond.”
Alexander Brockt of Loxx added: “We’re very pleased to partner with Europa. This new partnership offers us and our customers a reliable solution for the physical distribution of our cargo throughout our network, which is strengthened by Europa’s excellent IT system that has a very timely track and trace function which is not common in most European countries.”
Europa Worldwide Group employs more than 600 people across 11 sites in the UK and Hong Kong and is represented in 100 countries.
