New owner for Moray cleaning company
Merry Maids of Moray, one of the region’s leading and award-winning domestic cleaning companies is under new ownership as local businesswoman, Mylin Lasham purchases the existing business with a view to growing it and bringing in new staff.
After always wanting to run her own company, Mylin took the opportunity to purchase the cleaning franchise after the former owner decided to put the business up for sale. With a number of years’ experience in managing cleaning contracts, Mylin plans to user her expertise to grow the business and bring in a number of new staff to handle increased demand for the company’s services.
Mylin said: “With my husband based locally in the RAF and my children settled here, it was the logical step to put my skills into practise and purchase the business. We are excited for the challenge and looking forward to the future of Merry Maids of Moray.”
Merry Maids is a franchise of ServiceMaster Ltd, which has been operating in the UK for over 55 years. With nearly 70 local Merry Maids businesses in the UK, it is one of the leading domestic cleaning brands in the industry.
Merry Maids brand operations manager, Catriona Berry added: “Mylin has taken on her business just at the right time with spring cleaning season in full swing. We are confident of a great future for Mylin and her family with Merry Maids.”
Former Merry Maids of Moray owner, Bill Grant, who now operated Merry Maids in Inverness was named Dallen Peterson Franchisee of the Year in 2016, when he owned and operated both areas.
