British Land has transformed five shipping containers into pop-up eateries at Broadgate
Property developers British Land has launched its pop-up food programme at Broadgate after transforming five shipping containers in Finsbury Avenue Square into independent street food vendors.
Running until late 2018, the new initiative aims to turn the area into a weekend and evening destination by hosting some of the capital’s up and coming street food operators to the area near Liverpool Street Station.
Vendors already signed up include WOLF, the Italian eatery serving up neighbourhood-style food, crab burger brand Claw Food, and the breakfast and lunch vendor Yolk, puveyors of its famous poached egg pots and speciality coffee.
The two remaining operators at the site, which will run until British Land has completed its refurbishment of 1 Finsbury Avenue, are under offer.
Alice Keown, F&B Asset Manager for British Land, said: “We are really excited that we have the opportunity to work with these young, energetic, creative operators at a relatively early stage in their development, and expect them to flourish at Broadgate.
“Yolk, WOLF and Claw Food is an eclectic line-up that will complement the already fantastic offer at Broadgate Circle, and help further establish the campus as an emerging weekend and evening destination.”
British Land was represented by Davis Coffer Lyons while the operators represented themselves.
