Barratt south west achieve Built for Life accreditation
Three new developments in the south west have achieved top marks in the Building for Life 12 accreditation which recognises the very best in design quality, safety and community.
Barratt Developments, which includes Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes, has received the prestigious award for developments in Exeter, Brixton and Plymouth.
Barratt’s new Plympton development Redwood Heights and Minerva in Exeter, which will feature homes from Barratt and David Wilson Homes, have received the highest accolade of outstanding and Canes Meadow in Brixton, a David Wilson Homes site have all been honoured.
‘Built for Life’ is the industry standard, endorsed by the Government for well-designed homes and neighbourhoods and is based on a 12 point system of achievement, meaning developments have to satisfy all 12 categories to achieve the award.
These distinctions ensure that a development integrates well into the local community, while creating both an attractive place to call home, and a safe and secure environment in which to live.
Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes managing director Paul Moran, said, “We are thrilled that three of our developments in the south west have awarded this prestigious accreditation.
“These are all really exciting projects for us and we have been working together with our partners to create developments which will not only provide attractive new homes of the highest quality, but also extensive opportunities for the wider communities in the south west.”
He said that Built for Life approval is a sign of a good place to live with new, well designed homes and neighbourhoods.
“We know that our customers want places which have been designed and built to the very highest of standards and to receive this accolade for three of our developments demonstrates our commitment to building desirable new communities.”
