Jet2 announces new route to southwestern France at Manchester Airport
Jet2.com and Jet2holidays are increasing their offer at Manchester Airport with a new service to southwestern France.
For its Summer 18 programme from Manchester, the airline and package holiday business will operate new weekly flights to Bergerac, a community in the Dordogne region.
With the addition of the new route, Jet2 will cover 43 destinations next summer, including three in France.
Last month, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays announced their biggest ever summer flights and holidays programme from Manchester Airport.
To support the growth, the company has added a new Airbus A330 to its fleet.
Jet2.com and Jet2holidays CEO Steve Heapy said: “The addition of Bergerac to our Summer 18 programme gives local holidaymakers even more choice from Manchester Airport with 43 sun and city destinations now on sale.
“We are delighted to be giving direct access to the famous Dordogne region and I am confident that the appeal of this stunning destination, in addition to our award-winning service, will make the route extremely popular.”
Manchester Airport’s commercial director, Stephen Turner, commented: “We are pleased to see Jet.2com introduce Bergerac to its Summer 18 programme.
“I am sure the additional direct choice and accessibility to this French destination will prove popular with the millions of passengers in our catchment area.”
