Housebuilding giant Redrow joins Marketing Derby Bondholder scheme

Housebuilding giant Redrow Homes is the latest high profile organisation to join the Marketing Derby Bondholder scheme.

The housebuilder established a new division in the East Midlands in February 2017 following the acquisition of Radleigh Homes and has embarked on an ambitious expansion programme across the region.

The company now joins 300 plus other local businesses and organisations that support Marketing Derby in the promotion of the city to developers, investors, retailers, and the public sector.

Marketing Derby works to support and attract investment to Derby by raising the profile of the city on a regional, national and international level and works closely with partners Derby City Council.

Commenting on becoming a bondholder, Tom Finnegan, managing director of Redrow Homes East Midlands, said:

“Redrow Homes is one of the UK’s leading developers of quality family homes and we have exciting plans to increase output from 200 units a year to more than 500 in the next three years, with the creation of a significant number of new jobs.

“We are delighted to have joined the other organisations who are committed to promoting Derby as a great place to live and work and look forward to making our contribution to the local business community.”

John Forkin, managing director of Marketing Derby, added:

“We would like to welcome Redrow Homes East Midlands as our latest Bondholder.

“It is a tremendous vote of confidence in our work that one of the UK’s leading housebuilders is throwing its support behind the scheme and I look forward to working closely with the Redrow team in the coming months.”

In the financial year to the end of June 2016, Redrow completed 4,700 much-needed quality family homes with a turnover of £1.38bn and a profit of £250m. The company was founded by Chairman, Steve Morgan CBE, in 1974 and has now established itself as one of the country’s top housebuilders.

To enable it to add to its existing portfolio of developments in the East Midlands, Redrow is looking for strategic sites and land opportunities across Nottingham, Derby and Leicester. To discuss any land opportunities, contact Chris Neve on 01332 205200.
