Client wins deliver 20% turnover growth for Liverpool firm Steven Hunt Associates
Mechanical and electrical engineering design consultancy Steven Hunt Associates is celebrating a year of growth.
In 2016, the Liverpool-based business delivered on a raft of new projects, including The Royal Court, Mixenden Health Centre, Mowgli Street Food and Dogs Border Control at Stansted Airport.
As a result of the client wins, Steven Hunt Associates achieved 20% year-on-year turnover growth with sales of £1.2m.
After working on phase two of The Royal Court refurbishment, the Speke-based firm was commissioned to deliver phase three – the final part of the project to restore the historic Liverpool theatre.
Other client wins for Steven Hunt Associates included Halifax-based primary care facility Mixenden Health Centre and dining brand Mowgli Street Food’s expansion into Leeds.
At Stansted, the company worked on a project to provide a suitably heated and ventilated environment for Dogs Border Control’s detection dogs.
Managing director Steven Hunt said: “We have had a really steady period of growth, and after that huge 20% lift in 2016, we naturally thought that it would balance off, however are very pleased to see consistency in the growth.
“Taking part in Liverpool’s MIPIM campaign was part of the strategy for 2017, which helped us seal the deal on a 135 apartment extra care facility for Helena Housing.”
He continued: “Steven Hunt Associates has traded in Liverpool for almost 30 years, the majority of our work is in Greater Manchester and further afield.
“A recent number of exciting new projects from all over the country has bolstered our recent growth and we have been appointed by The Royal Court in Liverpool, to deliver the third and final stage of the ACT III refurbishment programme, working with Alfred Hall Monaghan Morris architects.”
Royal Court chief exec Gillian Miller commented: “When planning the refurbishment of The Royal Court, we appointed suppliers who are experts in their field and experienced in working with a Grade II listed building.
“Steven Hunt Associates is everything we needed in an M&E consultant; the team listened to our needs and delivered amazing work during the ACT II programme. We are excited to see the work that their extremely talented team deliver for ACT III, the third and final stage of our refurbishment programme in Summer 2017.”
