Ligatus expands into UK and appoints Alex Mcllvenny as Country Manager

Leading native advertising solutions provider, Ligatus, today announced it has expanded into the UK with the opening of a new London office and the appointment of Alex McIIvenny as Country Manager.

Ligatus, which is headquartered in Germany and has an established presence in 10 other countries across the world, offers solutions for publishers, advertisers, and programmatic buyers. The move into the UK represents a strategic next step for the company, and reflects the growing needs of domestic and international advertisers based in London for enhanced native advertising solutions.

As UK Country Manager, McIlvenny will focus on extending the existing Ligatus reach to the international hub of agencies, trading desks, and DSPs in the UK, and developing close relationships with local publishers to build a Ligatus UK network by the end of the year.

Julien Mosse, Chief Operating Officer at Ligatus, comments: “Our market entry into the UK represents another important milestone in our international business development. There is a fundamental need for many domestic and international advertisers in London to utilise the unique offering Ligatus will bring to the industry. Following many successful years of development and partnerships in other key European markets, Ligatus UK will undoubtedly be a huge success, and allow programmatic and brand advertisers access to new opportunities in the market.”

Alex McIlvenny, UK Country Manager, adds: “Ligatus has already been phenomenally successful in creating partnerships with many of the leading players in this space including AppNexus, Criteo, and The Trade Desk, and my goal is to further develop these relationships and others in the UK market. We also have ambitions to develop new and existing publisher relationships with a view to creating a UK publisher network that can deliver the benefits of native advertising programmatically.”

Before joining Ligatus, McIlvenny was Managing Director and Group Sales Director at Mozoo, where he was responsible for growing the company’s brand presence, market share, and revenues across the UK and France. Prior to Mozoo, Alex was the first hire for Widespace UK as Head of Sales, where he spent over two years building the business into one of the UK’s most recognisable mobile advertising technologies chosen by media agencies. Alex also spent five years working as Head of International Media at Haymarket Publishing.
