Graham Lamb named as site manager for Barratt’s new Union Park development
To coincide with New Homes Week Cornwall housebuilder Barratt Homes has appointed Graham Lamb as senior site manager for its Union Park development in Falmouth.
Hailing from Newquay, Graham will oversee construction at the 104-home site, working closely with all those involved in the process - including subcontractors and suppliers. He has played a key role within the industry for more than 30 years and says one of his priorities is to help and guide local apprentices as they begin their careers.
“It’s definitely one of the most rewarding parts of my job, helping young apprentices to develop their skills,” Graham says. “One of my first jobs when I relocated to Cornwall in 2002 involved mentoring four carpentry apprentices and you get such a buzz from seeing them pass their exams and master new skills.”
He adds that progress at Union Park is coming along well, with the foundations for around a third of the homes already laid and construction of the show home superstructures starting soon.
Barratt sales director Sara Parker said: “We think very carefully when appointing site managers for our new developments because they are crucial to the success of these important new communities.
“Graham has the skills and experience to deliver homes of the quality our buyers have come to expect from us. I look forward to watching this impressive new development take shape over the coming months.”
Union Park is a brand-new development from five star housebuilder Barratt Homes in Falmouth. Homes at the development are close to beautiful countryside and spectacular south west beaches and Union Park provides the perfect setting for commuters - with excellent transport links to Truro and the rest of Cornwall.
With Falmouth recently winning the readers’ vote in the Sunday Times’ Best Places to Live in Britain guide, Barratt Homes is expecting homes at the new community to sell quickly.
