dock10 to meet increasing production demands with new 750 sq ft HQ8 studio
MediaCityUK-based television facility dock10 has announced the launch of a new studio.
The 750 sq ft space, called HQ8, is designed for small sets and boasts green screen capabilities.
Dock10, which recentlyhosted the ITV Leaders’ Debate ahead of the General Election in June, said the facility comes fully lit with complete integration into its gallery and post-production infrastructure.
HQ8, according to dock10, was created to meet the requirements of a growing number of customers that need access to an affordable, professional studio.
This includes an increasing demand from creative agencies looking to film products and interviews.
HQ8 will also be used by producers in dock10’s main studios who want to simultaneously use a smaller space, for content such as additional commentary or a companion show.
The head of Studios at dock10, Andy Waters, said: “Digital platforms like YouTube have fuelled an explosion of video content.
“As serious content creators strive to improve the quality of their output, HQ8 is providing them with the affordable, flexible and professional television facilities to make it happen.”
He added: “Our studios have an excellent reputation for enabling the creation of world-class programmes, and we’re excited that HQ8 is making this same level of excellence accessible to an even wider range of new content creators.”
Earlier this month, dock10 announced an expansion of its post-production capabilities following its acquisition in November 2016 of post-production house 422.
