HOUSING GIANT REDROW EMBARKS ON EXPANSION PROGRAMME ACROSS THE EAST MIDLANDS

Redrow PLC, one of the UK’s leading developers of quality family homes, has embarked on an eager expansion programme across the East Midlands.

The deal to acquire the award-winning Radleigh Homes at the end of January has enabled Redrow to establish a new East Midlands division.

Now, with the rebrand complete, the company has announced plans to increase its output from 200 units a year to more than 500 in the next three years - with the creation of a number of new jobs and opportunities for supplier and sub-contractor recruitment across the region.

New posts are currently being created across all disciplines and a number of key appointments are set to be announced shortly.

At the same time, Redrow East Midlands has unveiled its first development in the East Midlands - Knights Keep in Stretton, which is set to launch in the Autumn.

The scheme, which is located on the outskirts of Burton-on-Trent, yet only two miles from the centre of Burton-on-Trent, will feature 100 high quality three and four-bedroom family homes.

Aimed at families and young professionals looking for excellent access to the town and wider region, Knights Keep will offer the perfect balance of country living with easy access to the major cities of Derby, Lichfield and Birmingham. This thoughtfully laid out development also lies within walking distance of both primary and secondary schools.

Redrow is also looking for strategic sites and land opportunities across Nottingham, Derby and Leicester to enable it to add to its existing portfolio of developments in the East Midlands.

Commenting on the company’s expansion programme, Tom Finnegan, managing director for Redrow Homes East Midlands, said:

“We are in a strong position to deliver growth and are embarking on a period of considerable investment, which is set to result in the delivery of more quality family homes in great locations.

“This will benefit local customers, colleagues and businesses within the supply chain.”

In the financial year to the end of June 2016, Redrow completed 4,700 much-needed quality family homes with a turnover of £1.38bn and a profit of £250m. The company was founded by Chairman, Steve Morgan CBE, in 1974 and has now established itself as one of the country’s top housebuilders.
