Work on £100m Liverpool Shopping Park continues apace
Construction work on the £100m Liverpool Shopping Park development is progressing rapidly, with new imagery unveiled this week (June 1) showing progress made on site.
The photo (above) is of the steel structure for two units located at the entrance to the park from Edge Lane, including one that will house the new 4,000 sq ft Frankie & Benny’s restaurant.
The American-Italian eatery closed in January and plans to re-open this October, as part of Liverpool Shopping Park’s launch celebrations.
The scheme, due to create more than 3,000 jobs once complete, will deliver 727,000 sq ft of mixed-use space across 41 retail units.
The project is being developed by The Derwent Group.
David Lyons, the firm’s chief exec, said: “Frankie & Benny’s has been a longstanding and very loyal tenant on this site and we’re delighted that we can give them a new and improved restaurant as part of the development.
“They’ll remain in their prime spot and the new look restaurant will provide the perfect welcome to Liverpool Shopping Park once complete.”
