A guide to using Car and Vehicle Transportation

When Henry T Ford first invented the motor car, it’s likely he never knew how popular his invention would come to be relied upon by so many people daily. Whilst everyone may think Smart phone, the Internet or other inventions may be the most important invention, it’s difficult to overlook the impact car and vehicle transportation has made on all of our lives.

How many people own or drive motor cars today? How many families now have two, or even three, cars in their household?

Just to prove the point, let’s look at all the different ways car and vehicle transportation is utilized by us on a daily basis.

Car and vehicle transportation for workHow many workers actually use public transport, bicycles or walking rather than driving? Whilst there’s obvious benefits in using alternative methods of transportation for work, cars still reign supreme it seems.

**To some workers and job positions, cars are used as status symbols.**To representatives and professions who rely on visiting sites or business travel, cars provide a far more practical and efficient solution as they are always available and can (virtually) go anywhere, at anytime. So it’s unlikely car and vehicle transportation for work purposes will decline any time soon; in fact, it’s only likely to become even more popular.

Car and vehicle transportation for familyTake a look outside any primary school or nursery, at all the mothers and parents on the school run. How many of them are not in cars, SUV or people carriers? Hardly any, right?

Whilst this is a relatively recent phenomenon, it still means car and vehicle transportation is almost accepted as standard for busy families ferrying children around, and not just to school!

What about shopping and trips away? Cars and vehicle transportation are the default method it seems, despite everyone seemingly attempting to persuade off the roads for environmental reasons and otherwise.

Given how often families use cars and vehicle transportation, it’s almost a fools errand to think families will wean themselves away from this preferred method of trans-port anytime soon.

Car and vehicle transportation for social and leisureLook how many taxi and private hire firms there seem to be these days, even if it’s only taking parents on the supermarket run or teenagers out for a night out.

It’s likely because they are quicker, more convenient and possibly even more reliable than public transport. However, with the advent of ride-sharing and hailing cars using services, cars and vehicle transportation will only become even more widely used it seems
