Furniture company Broadstock wins £600k University of Hull contract

Broadstock, the Macclesfield-based FF&E supplier, has secured a single source contract with the University of Hull worth £600k.

The company was awarded the projects following a competitive tender, and is of two years’ duration, with a possible two year extension.

It involves working on the university’s Staff House refurbishment and new build specialist Allam Medical Building.

Jon stoney, group sales director, said: “We’re extremely pleased to be working with the University of Hull, which really bought into our extensive offering, as the contract will include a combination of Broadstock’s services, including design consultation, budget analysis, product suggestions and full delivery and installation services.

“We fully understand the university’s aspirations and its five year plan, which involves an exciting combination of new build and a major refurbishment programme.”

In addition, Broadstock will carry out in-depth, pre-design research with students and Academics, establishing what they expect, what they want and what they need to maximise the quality of their learning and teaching experiences.

He added: “This important aspect of our services is acknowledged as being industry-leading and our university clients appreciate it enormously.

“We are able to inform them definitively as to their students’ preferences, and this research in turn plays a pivotal role in the universities’ student satisfaction ratings.”

Jon concluded: “This win is testament to the talent and experience of our account management team and in-house design team, and their ability to bring to life the university’s vision.”
