Mansley has acquired a Grade II listed Cheltenham landmark

Serviced apartments group, Mansley, has announced the acquisition of a 19th Century landmark in Cheltenham to add to its portfolio of venues.

The London-based firm, which boasts upmarket suites in the capital, Edinburgh and Inverness, has acquired the Grade II listed Strozzi Palace for an undisclosed amount from a guide price of £1.5m.

The landmark building in the Gloucestershire town boats an Italian-style facade based on the Palazzo Strozzi in Florence, and will be Mansley’s first presence in the town.

Inside the venue, which has previously been rated Cheltenham’s number one hotel by TripAdvisor, are six fully self-contained suites which property agents Fleurets describe as being ‘luxuriously equipped’.

Chris Irving of Fleurets, who brokered the deal, said: “The Strozzi Palace sale is indicative of a new breed of accommodation coming to the marketplace and demonstrates Fleurets’ capabilities to sell unusual and profitable boutique opportunities which may not be considered traditional hotels.”
