Female triumvirate put pets at heart with new Morpeth store opening
Three enterprising local women have banded together to launch a new independent pet store in Morpeth with animal health and wellbeing at the heart.
Opening in the town centre Sunday June 11 to coincide with Morpeth Fair Day, Caroline Coppen, Diane Coppen and Terri-Louise Anderson say that they plan to reinvent the traditional pet store experience through revolutionising pet care itself.
With a concept store style layout and an approach dedicated to animal wellbeing, the trio are aiming to help pet owners make more educated choices that promote their pet’s health and happiness.
Caroline explained: “The idea for the business came from our shared experience working in pet retail. We realised there wasn’t something out there that really supported pet owners, understood their needs and offered a unique shopping experience that put their pets first.
“We have a very much animal focused approach and that’s at the heart of everything we do. We want to help pet owners better understand how to keep their pet healthy and happy.”
Having already opened their doors quietly to the people of Morpeth, the grand opening taking place on Sunday 11th June, will offer a funfair style event with something for all the family to celebrate the store’s official opening.
Based on the idea of bringing value, fun and education back to pet retail, the owners are passionate about organising, and taking part in, events that will bring the local community together, with a range of pet care and behavioural workshops and seminars lead by animal experts.
Focused on practicing what they preach, My Pet HQ stocks a range of premium products designed to promote pet welfare, from raw food to eco-friendly toys and accessories.
Terri-Louise added: “Having already welcomed the public through our doors, we wanted to do something really special and official to celebrate our opening! Morpeth Fair Day seemed like the perfect opportunity to join the local community with our own little funfair. There’ll be something for everyone with cakes, party games, exclusive discounts and prizes!”
