Property firm SIPL to showcase Greater Manchester’s £700m Middlewood Locks development
A new marketing suite is opening at the Middlewood Locks mixed-use residential scheme in Manchester this weekend (June 10) in response to a greater-than-anticipated interest in the development
The apartments, being created by Scarborough International Properties (SIPL), will feature open-plan living rooms, full-height glazing and fitted kitchens.
Middlewood Locks will also comprise a convenience store, gym, nursery, restaurants, bars, covered parking and bicycle storage facilities.
The £700m development will spread across 25 acres to create a new waterside neighbourhood around three large basins of the Manchester, Bolton and Bury Canals.
In total, the scheme will provide 2,215 new homes and 900,000 sq ft of commercial space, including a hotel together with all the amenities of a new urban neighbourhood.
During the first phase, which is currently under construction, 571 one-, two- and three- bedroom apartments will be delivered, each boasting its own private garden, terrace, balcony or ‘Juliet’ balcony.
SIPL’s sales and marketing director Nicola Wallis said: “We have been overwhelmed by the huge interest in Middlewood Locks and are delighted with the level of demand from local people and first time buyers.
“More than 60 apartments have already been reserved to our loyalty customers and to the first customers who registered their interest on our mailing list as part of our early bird campaign.”
She added: “In response to this demand, we have decided to get started with our pop-up marketing suite in advance of the permanent marketing suite being ready later this year.”
Middlewood Locks is being delivered by FairBriar International, a joint venture led by SIPL alongside Metro Holdings of Singapore and Hualing Group of China.
The pop-up marketing suite will be open from 11am – 5pm on Saturday.
