Not all heroes wear capes! Barratt Homes calls on Doncaster community to nominate a star

Award-winning local housebuilder, Barratt Homes Yorkshire East, is encouraging the community of Doncaster to nominate a selfless local hero to be honoured with a golden star at its Belle Vue development.

In celebration of receiving a 5 star rating from the recent HBF (Home Builders Federation) customer satisfaction survey, Barratt Homes Yorkshire East is urging Doncaster locals to nominate individuals to be recognised at its Belle Vue development with a permanent fixture in the form of an engraved gold star. The plaque will be a permanent fixture in a public open space at the development for all to see. Barratt Homes is recognising five individuals that have proven their commitment to local initiatives, through charity work or good deeds, at its developments across the region, with one person to be honoured at each chosen site.

Doncaster locals can nominate candidates by placing named recommendations, along with a reason for the nomination, into a ballot box at Belle Vue’s sales office (located on Bawtry Road) until August 2017. The community hero receiving the most votes will then be honoured at the site with an engraved star bearing their name and contribution to the local area.

Leonna Hardcastle, Sales Manager at Barratt Homes Yorkshire East, commented: “We’re really excited that we’re going to be able to reward a local hero for all the great work they’ve been doing in the community. We’re urging the residents of Doncaster to put forward their most deserving star, whether this is an individual working with a charity, a particular group or a member of the public who has done a particularly good deed. Just pop by our Belle Vue development and post your suggestions in our ballot box!”

The HBF nationwide survey lists the UK’s best housebuilders according to those that have the highest customer recommendation scores. To be credited with a 5 star status, housebuilders must receive a score of over 90%. Barratt Developments have now become the only major national housebuilder to be accredited as a 5 star housebuilder for eight years in a row.
