Manchester City agree multi-year deal with Asian betting partner
Manchester City have signed a new deal with online gaming company Kai-Fa Yule K8.com.
The agreement means K8.com is now the club’s official betting partner in Asia, in a multi-year partnership that gets underway at the start of the 2017/18 campaign.
From next season, the firm’s branding will feature on digiboards during home games at the Etihad Stadium.
The partnership was revealed today (June 21) during an event held in Manila and attended by senior representatives of K8.com and City.
Damian Willoughby, senior vice president of partnerships at City Football Group, which owns MCFC, said of the agreement: “We are delighted to welcome K8.com to the Manchester City family.
“They share our commitment to innovation and providing the best possible experience for fans and users alike.”
He continued: “City has a growing and passionate fanbase in Asia and our commercial profile in the region continues to strengthen, supported by offices in Shanghai, Singapore and Tokyo.
“This partnership will allow City fans in Asia to interact with the club in a new and exciting way and we’re looking forward to working together.”
K8.com representative Michael McQuade commented: “The Premier League is one of the biggest football leagues with a large audience and vast influence in Asia.
“This partnership is the perfect platform to promote our brand.”
Michael added: “We are looking forward to being the new partner of Manchester City and wish the Club all the success for the upcoming 2017/18 season.”
