£3M CASTLEFORD NEW HOMES COLLECTION OPENS ITS DOORS FOR INFORMATION DAY

A £3m collection of new homes that commemorates Castleford’s most famous son opens its doors to housebuyers this weekend.

Moore Park – named in honour of the renowned sculptor and artist Henry Moore – is staging an Open Day between 10am and 4pm on Saturday (June 24).

Industry experts will be on hand to guide visitors through the sales options and offers that are available on all the available plots.

Taking advantage of the Government’s Help To Buy initiative to make home ownership more affordable, and its five-year interest-free equity loan, properties on the development are available from as little as £164,000 for a three-bedroom property.

The collection of 14 detached and semi-detached properties is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac at Healdfield Court, Healdfield Road, and with its excellent links to local schools on its doorstep hold plenty of appeal for families.

The development, created by Frontline Estates Ltd, is now complete and the first families have collected their keys and moved in.

The open day gives homebuyers the opportunity to view all the different styles of house designs, which take their name from galleries which have exhibited Moore’s work – such as The Tate and The Hepworth.

David Waddington, Head of New Homes, for joint selling agents Linley & Simpson, said: “Moore Park features a choice of three and four bedroom properties in a range of different designs to suit buyers’ lifestyles and budgets.

“As well as a raft of offers – including savings on legal fees, floor coverings and stamp duty on selected plots, each property is sold with a 10-year building warranty for ultimate peace of mind.

“Yorkshire has the highest uptake of Help To Buy in the country and these properties are a good example of why – they are ideal for first-time buyers looking to gain their initial step on the property ladder.”

Waddington added: “This development has breathed further new life into this part of the town and will help satisfy the current demand for brand new homes in Castleford.

“All the homes on Moore Park are traditional and welcoming in their design, and create particular appeal for young and growing families. Nestling on the edge of the town centre, all the amenities and transport links needed for daily life are closed by.”

The Hepworth style home provides accommodation over three levels. The ground floor offers an ideal dining room/kitchen area with bi-folding doors onto a rear garden. Also at ground floor level is the integral garage and a downstairs WC. Upstairs to the first floor, each property boasts a large L-shaped living room plus a well-proportioned master bedroom with en-suite facilities. The second floor has two double bedrooms and the family bathroom, while the larger properties also have a fourth bedroom/study.
