SES ENGINEERING SERVICES DOWNS TOOLS TO SUPPORT NORTH WEST COMMUNITY PROJECT FOR NATIONWIDE VOLUNTEER PROGRAMME

The 17th Sale Scout Group, Sale recently received a helping hand from leading national engineering specialist, SES Engineering Services (SES), as part of the business’ nationwide ‘Reshaping Tomorrow’ week, when volunteers installed new energy efficient lighting at the scout hut.

Led by supervisor, Bob Brazendale, SES volunteers installed new LED lights to the main hall in a bid to reduce the building’s energy consumption and make important cost savings for the Group.

Commenting on SES’ valuable contribution, Cub Scout Leader, Richard Taylor, said “I would like to thank SES very much for choosing the group as part of its Reshaping Tomorrow Week initiative. A lot of what we spend goes on the running and maintaining the building. The cost savings we will benefit from with the new LED lights help us keep down the annual subs and parents will really appreciate that.”

This volunteer project forms part of ‘Reshaping Tomorrow’ week, a national programme that coincided with National Volunteers Week. Throughout the week the business’ employees donated their time to help local good causes.

Speaking about the company’s ‘Reshaping Tomorrow’ initiative, SES’ Business Director North, Steve Joyce added: “I’m delighted that so many SES employees respond each year with such eagerness and a strong desire to support community projects of this type. It has been a pleasure to be able to assist the 17th Sale Scout Group, as well as the environment, by installing modern energy efficient lighting. I’m confident that the cost savings they will make going forward will prove extremely beneficial to the ongoing running of the Group.”

‘Reshaping Tomorrow’ is the Group’s framework for sustainability and centres around five core commitments; to support people, communities, buildings, footprint and behaviours.

SES was supported by Whitecroft Lighting and A-Plant Hire which donated light fittings and pop-up scaffold respectively.
