German chain Motel One launches second hotel in central Manchester
German hotel chain Motel One is expanding in the North West with a second venue in Manchester city centre.
The budget hotel operator’s new site, located at the Royal Exchange on Cross Street, will comprise 302 guest rooms featuring an industrial theme for the city’s history as a centre for the textile trade.
The furniture in the entrance area of Motel One Manchester-Royal Exchange was provided by leather furniture manufacturer Baxter.
The site also features the leisure operator’s One Lounge and Bar concept, offering space for guests to work or relax, with a long Chesterfield sofa custom made by local firm Stylematters.
Motel One said it has already secured a third site in Manchester for development, as the group looks to continue its expansion in the city.
