RHCV Joins Top 200
In its 40th anniversary year East Midlands based Renault trucks dealer RH Commercial Vehicles has secured a top spot as one of the top performing business in the East Midlands.
RHCV (through its holding company RH Developments) was listed as number two in the study of financial performance across the whole of the region.
Since a management buyout in 2012 RHCV has flourished with expansion across the East Midlands, developing new services to meet increased customer demand in its Nottingham and Cossington, Leicester facilities whilst opening a new site in Alfreton in 2013 to meet the needs of its north Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire customer base, in turn increasing staff numbers to 90 and turnover in RHCV from £12m to £21.4m in 2016.
The East Midlands Top 200 Report, now in its fifth year, is produced by the East Midlands office of financial and business advisers Grant Thornton UK LLP in partnership with the CBI.
Each year, it analyses the financial performance of the 200 businesses in Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire that have delivered the greatest, sustained profit growth, to provide the region’s only in-depth study into the East Midlands’ fastest growing companies by key sector and performance indicators, to deliver a barometer of overall economic performance.
The Report ranks businesses by the percentage growth in profitability over the last three years and includes both established and up-and-coming businesses.
Managing Director, Nigel Baxter comments ‘We’re really delighted to feature as number two across the whole of the East Midlands. The team at RHCV has worked very hard over the past few years following the acquisition from Kuehne + Nagel in 2012 with a focus on improving our customer offer, operating efficiencies and cost reduction leading to sustained increased profitability. Our growth covers all areas of the business, sales, service, parts and our highly successful contract hire and truck rental offer.“
Mark Pashley, Director at Grant Thornton’s East Midlands regional office, presented the Report’s findings, and said: “RHCV is to be congratulated for its stand-out performance over the last few years. Its hard work and commitment have been justifiably rewarded and recognised by its number two position in this year’s East Midlands Top 200 Report.” Of the 200 businesses on this year’s report, just over three-quarters (77%) are mid-sized and 23% are large businesses. “The range, sector and size of all 200 companies illustrate the East Midlands’ impressive economic and market diversity, which plays a significant role in its overall performance, durability and sustainability,” adds Mark.
