This week's North East appointments

With the weekend firmly behind us, it’s time for you to ease yourself into the new working week with the latest North East appointments round-up!

Michael Cowley, Kevin Potts, Hannah Williams; Logic Architecture

Middlesbrough-based architects Logic Architecture has welcomed a trio of new recruits across its business on the back of a series of contract wins.

Michael Cowley joins the firm as senior architectural technologist from Newcastle’s Space Group, having previously led teams in the development and construction of large commercial, retail and residential projects.

Graduate architect Kevin Potts has joined Logic as an associate from renowned London practice Squire & Partners, marking a return to the region after the Northumbria University graduate worked on a number of high-profile projects in the capital.

Finally, Hannah Williams has made the move from Liverpool to Teesside after joining the team as an interior design stylist.

Mark Barlow, senior architect of Logic Architecture, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Michael, Kevin and Hannah to the team, all three of them are exceptionally talented, bringing new skills which will really help us in this exciting period as we continue to grow and take on larger projects.

Dale Robinson, Just Travel Cover

Sunderland-based travel insurance broker Just Travel Cover has appointed Dale Robinson as its new marketing manager.

Dale, who also has has additional qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and the Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing (IDM), began his career at retro shirt manufacturer TOFFS and brings a number of years’ experience to the role.

The Spanish and Marketing graduate joins from Visit County Durham where he has spent the last five years developing and delivering the digital marketing strategy helping to promote County Durham as a place to visit.

He said: “I’m delighted to have joined the team here at Just Travel Cover and I’m looking forward to driving the team forward, reaching out to new customers and building on existing relationships to ensure more people can enjoy their holidays with complete peace of mind that they’re covered, regardless of their age or any existing medical conditions.”

Damian Ferris-Eamer, The Expanded Metal Company

The Expanded Metal Company, a Hartlepool-headquartered business which develops and supplies metal mesh products, has appointed Damian Ferris-Eamer to support business development and client management in Northumberland, Cumbria, Yorkshire, County Durham, Lancashire and Derbyshire.

The Yorkshireman will draw on his wealth of sales and business development experience having previously held the post of area sales manager for Columbia Metals.

Commenting on his appointment, Damian Ferris-Eamer said: “The Expanded Metal Company is well known and highly regarded across the industries I have worked with during my career to date, and this role represented a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the growth of an innovative, forward-thinking business that’s very supportive of its customers and is always looking to take the next step in terms of product and service development.

Alec Pritchard and Oliver Cook, r//evolution

Award-winning North East creative marketing agency r//evolution has welcomed Alec Pritchard and Oliver Cook to the fold with both bringing a wealth of experience to the company.

Alec Pritchard joins as Lead Backend Developer and Oliver Cook as Account Executive to their office at the Northern Design Centre in Gateshead, bringing total headcount at the agency to 13.

Alec has previously held numerous roles in web development, across both in-house and agency roles, while Oliver joins following an internship with the business having also recently graduating from Newcastle University with an MA in Media & Public Relations.

Scott Cable, Swinburne Maddison

Swinburne Maddison, the Durham law firm, has appointed Scott Cable to its litigation team.

Cable, who is a member of the Property Litigation Association, has direct experience of real property, landlord and tenant and housing disputes and joins following eight years at a major Newcastle law firm.

Scott will be advising on a wide range of property litigation matters such as termination and renewal of tenancies, dilapidations, rent reviews, unlawful eviction and general commercial property management issues for some of Swinburne Maddison’s key clients.

Cable commented: “I was attracted to the role at Swinburne Maddison because of its forward-thinking approach and fantastic reputation. This, coupled with the fact that many staff have remained here for their entire careers speaks volumes about the firm’s working environment and ethos. It was simply too good an opportunity to miss.
