WeWork has called up Jamal Edwards and Camden Town Brewery for its summer events series

Global coworking network WeWork has unveiled a star-studded lineup for its summer programme of events aimed at the capital’s creative entrepreneurs and would-be founders.

The workspace provider will be hosting a month-long series of weekly events, each orbiting around a different theme through TED-style talks that will explore areas ranging from food to technology, fashion and media.

Entrepreneurs lined up for the series include the Luton-born founder of SB.TV, Jamal Edwards; designer Henry Holland; GeekGirlMeetUp Director Cathy White, and the founders of Camden Town Brewery.

Taking place from the 10th to the 27th July across WeWork’s London estate, the events will look to inspire entrepreneurial Londoners and provide insight and advice for those looking to start their own businesses.

Kicking off on the 10th July at WeWork Waterhouse Square will be some of London’s most well-known street food stars including Camden Town Brewery alongside ERB, MOB Kitchen, London Food Tech Week, Press Juice who will be exploring the UK’s booming eating out culture and discussing the highs and lows of starting a business in the sector.

Following up on 13th July at WeWork Old Street, representatives from Wired, along with Cathy White and others will be exploring how technology is changing the world around us and looking at both the opportunities and risks this poses for entrepreneurs.

Henry Holland will be leading proceedings on 20th July at WeWork’s Moorgate property where he will be touching upon how to spot the next big trend, before Jamal Edwards wraps up proceedings on the 27th July discussing the opportunities for disruption within the UK’s media industry.

The series itself is part of the build up to WeWork’s global Creator Awards competition which is taking place in September, and will see the collaborative workspace provider dishing out $20m in prize money to aspiring entrepreneurs across the globe.
