iSmash opens second store outside of London at Meadowhall in Sheffield

iSmash, the high street tech repair specialist, is to open one of its first stores outside of London at Meadowhall in Sheffield.

The Meadowhall store, which has created six new jobs, contains four technician workstations and will offer iSmash’s full suite of products and services including smartphone, tablet and computer repairs, tech accessories, data recovery, device trade-in service and refurbished devices.

The Meadowhall iSmash store is the next step in the company’s expansion strategy for 2017, with iSmash’s current footprint covering 17 high street locations and shopping centres across the UK.

Julian Shovlin, founder and managing director of iSmash, said: “We are a nation of phone and gadget addicts, all pushed for time; when things go wrong and breakages happen it can be a huge inconvenience.

“This is where we found the gap in the market for the iSmash business, which plugs the gap between expensive manufacturers and unreliable independents.

“After a successful initial launch in London, we knew the logical place to take iSmash was to influential cities in the North.

“Investing in Sheffield, in such an iconic space as Meadowhall, means we can help the community with our fast-while-you-wait service by the UK’s most experienced tech repair technicians.”
