Blue Horizon Entertainment chooses Blockchain Specialist Aventus
Blue Horizon Entertainment, a US-based venue management and live music festival producer, has today signed an agreement with Aventus Systems a UK blockchain-based protocol developer that has created a disruptive application to revolutionise the event ticketing industry. This milestone is the first of several agreements that will establish a partnership enabling Blue Horizon to deploy the Aventus ticketing solution throughout its network of venues and clients in North America.
The Aventus blockchain solution effectively eliminates ticket fraud and allows owners and event organisers to control and receive commissions on secondary market ticket sales. The application facilitates event ticketing and marketing at a significantly reduced platform cost. Blue Horizon embraces technology that delivers exceptional value to all event stakeholders and insulates the fans from fraudulent touting activity.
Blue Horizon was recently created by an elite team of former casino and entertainment executives who have decades of experience managing venue operations and delivering world-class live entertainment. The UFC, Hard Rock, Eric Clapton, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Santana, and World Championship Boxing, and Rockfest Concerts are among the brands and clients who have been engaged by members of the team to produce events. Aventus will work with Blue Horizon throughout product testing phases and begin ticketing for them in 2018.
Diane Bowers, a Blue Horizon co-founder, says, ‘Blockchain is the most innovative technology in the industry and Aventus Systems protocol will be a game changer for the events market solving some of the most critical problems plaguing the industry.’
Alan Vey & Annika Monari, Directors of Aventus Systems commented ‘Working with Blue Horizon is an exciting first step in revolutionising the way event ticketing works today. In the coming weeks we will be announcing new big-name customers across the fighting, concerts, and casino markets.’
This agreement comes ahead of Aventus releasing the Alpha version of its platform aimed at eliminating counterfeit tickets and unregulated ticket touting. The Aventus Alpha will include a detailed walkthrough of the platform and user testing with the development community.
Aventus has already attracted the attention of major investors as it seeks to launch its ICO, a crowdfunded release of a new cryptocurrency on 19th July, which will run until the 24th of July.
