Forrest to deliver 183 apartments in £28.2m Northern Quarter scheme

Contractor Forrest has been chosen to deliver a multi-million pound residential development in Manchester’s Northern Quarter.

The £28.2m scheme, known as CituNQ, comprises 183 one- and two-bed apartments across nine storeys and is designed by architects IDP.

In addition to the homes, Bolton-based Forrest’s work on the project will include the creation of ground-floor commercial space, rooftop gardens and an internal courtyard.

Residents at CituNQ will also have access to a 24/7 concierge service.

Tibst Ltd, a joint venture between Factory Estates Ltd and Salboy Ltd, is the company behind the development, which is being built on the site of the former level car park bounded by Tib Street, Bridgewater Place, Church Street and Joiner Street.

Planning approval for CituNQ was secured in February.

Allan Smith, Forrest project director, said: “This exclusive development, sat within the Smithfield conservation area, will sensitively continue the regeneration of the vibrant Northern Quarter.”
