Young professionals network Forum for Tomorrow’s expands into Liverpool

A new forum for professionals starting out on careers in the built environment in Liverpool has launched.

The new Merseyside branch of Forum for Tomorrow’s (FFT) will aim to give the area’s young professionals a platform for networking and engaging with peers.

While FFT membership is aimed at under 30s, bosses said all ages are welcome to attend the forum’s regular events as they take place around the Liverpool City Region.

FFT is part of the Forum for the Built Environment (FBE), an independent networking organisation for those in construction and property.

Branch co-chairs Amy Hardman and Carrie Allen, of marketing firm Active Profile, said in a joint statement: “It’s an interesting time for the property and construction sector in Liverpool right now with lots of development projects planned and in progress, providing opportunities for young people to kick start their careers.

“We’re excited to launch the Liverpool branch of the FFT to give young professionals the chance to start to build their networks, develop their knowledge of the industry and find the balance between socialising and networking.”

They added: “We hope to see lots of Liverpool’s next generation of property professionals join us for the official launch event and find out what we have planned for the city’s first ever FFT branch.”

FFT national representative and geotechnical engineer Anita Singh, of engineering consultancy Hydrock, commented: “FFT provides a platform and voice for the next generation of construction and property professionals.

Anita is also a member of FBE’s national management committee.

She added: “I’m delighted that Liverpool has been chosen as the location for this latest branch. Joining FFT and attending the events is a great way to meet professional peers, gain knowledge and build a career in this interesting and diverse industry.”

The launch of the FFT Liverpool branch, the eighth in the organisation’s UK-wide network, will take place at The Alchemist, Liverpool on July 27.
