Two Wakefield units comprising 65,000 sq ft hit the market

Two units, comprising 65,000 sq ft in Wakefield, are hitting the market.

Real estate adviser GVA has been appointed by Peter Duffy, the civil engineering, construction, utilities and plant hire company, to market the prime units.

Peter Duffy has recently acquired the former Kepak site just off Junction 40 of the M1 at Wakefield.

The rear portion of the site, which has been branded Centric 40, will be developed to provide a new bespoke facility for Peter Duffy’s own occupation, enabling a relocation from its existing site.

Due to the relocation, there is two surplus plots at the front of the site which are available for development. The plots extend to around 1.58 and 2.19 acres respectively, the larger can accommodate around 38,000 sq ft and the smaller around 27,000 sq ft.

Both units can be developed to suit individual occupiers and are available freehold or leasehold.

Subject to planning, the developer is aiming to undertake infrastructure and site preparation works later this year, and commence construction of units early in 2018.

Rob Oliver, industrial director at GVA, said: “There is considerable demand for premises along this part of the M1 corridor and very little supply.

“Each plot has considerable flexibility in how they are developed and they benefit from frontage to the main estate road. We were delighted to be appointed by Peter Duffy on this scheme and have no doubt it will go well in the current market”.
