Clough & Willis acts for Bury Hospice

Bury based law firm Clough & Willis has acted for Bury Hospice on its brand new agreement with Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust which will see the two organisations partnering in the future provision of facilities and services to patients and other hospice users.

The arrangement, which will last for three years initially, marks a progressive approach to the provision of integrated hospice-based care services, enabling patients and their relatives to access a fuller range of services on a one-stop basis with greater efficiencies in delivery.

Clough & Willis advised Bury Hospice on the facilities sharing aspects of the new partnership.

Suzanne Carr, general manager at Bury Hospice, said: “We welcome our new partnership with Pennine which we believe will improve the services we offer our residents and their families at critically sensitive times.”

Eloise Burke, head of clinical services, added: “The new arrangement with Pennine provides an important opportunity to enhance and extend the range of clinical services which are can be offered at the Hospice as we seek to develop our role in the community in Bury.”

Wendy Thompson, senior manager for Community Services Bury, part of Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust, said: “We are committed to continually improving services for local people to ensure we can meet their individual needs now and in the future.

“Achieving this relies on organisations taking a joined up approach, so I’m delighted to be working in partnership with Bury Hospice to establish the Community Palliative Care Team. Together we can ensure that people receive the right care, at the right time and by the right professional.

“I’m looking forward to further developing our partnership and building on the great services we already provide. I’m confident we can achieve great things, which will achieve our mutual aim of providing the very best care to the people of Bury.”
