Harrogate-based medical device manufacturer pens US deal
Orthopedic support manufacturer Neo G has signed a deal to supply thousands of stores in the US.
The agreement, secured with American pharmacy giant Rite Aid, will see the Harrogate-based company’s products sold in 1,600 outlets.
The launch represents the first time Neo G’s medical devices have been available in the US through a national retailer.
The firm, which already retails in 18 countries, said it now has ambitious plans to grow its slice of the US’ orthopaedic support market.
Neo G was founded in 2007 by its CEO, Paul Starkey, and today employs over 40 people at offices and warehouse in North Yorkshire.
Paul Starkey said: “This is the first time our fully accredited medical grade supports have been available in stores nationally in the USA and we hope to expand our reach through more stores and other US retailers over the coming months.”
Boots, Superdrug and Lloyds Pharmacy are among the UK retailers supplied by Neo G, which also sells its orthopaedic supports online.
Neo G’s commercial director, Dan Jones, commented: “Our ongoing research and development programme means we have been able to develop many patented, unique solutions to help patient recovery and pain management, and we are constantly testing new products with the input of medical specialists.”
