James Cochran is opening a new eatery at Angel Central
Islington shopping centre, Angel Central, is to welcome a new restaurant by British chef James Cochran in what will be the former two star Michelin chef’s first North London restaurant.
Opening this summer, James Cochran will be housed near the Upper Street entrance of the centre after the restaurateur signed on for a 2,111 sq ft unit that includes space for 60 covers inside and an additional 20 covers on its terrace.
Serving up a ‘modern British menu’ utilising locally sourced ingredients, the menu will also include Cochran’s signature Caribbean jerk chicken dish while a cocktail and wine bar with DJ booth will entertain revellers.
Founder, James Cochran said: “This prime North London location is perfect for the next stage of our expansion. Angel Central offers a diverse and vibrant mix of retail and leisure and we are thrilled to share our food with the people of Islington.”
Laura Wilson-Brown, Director at CBRE Global Investors, said: “The signing of a talented chef like James Cochran cements our vision of creating a great retail and dining destination that complements the vibrancy, dynamism and quality of Islington.
“We have no doubt his superb food will be greatly received by locals and shoppers alike, from day through to evening, using the al fresco terrace overlooking the scheme.”
BNP Paribas and CBRE represented Angel Central. James Cochran dealt directly.
