Oakapple's new office development in Ilkley is now fully let
A new office development in Ilkley is now fully pre-let after developers Oakapple Group announced that tech firm SmartSearch had agreed to take the final space at the scheme.
The third and final letting at the development now means that Oakapple has let 27,000 sq ft of commercial space at the development which is due to be completed in time for Christmas, with construction currently underway.
The letting sees SmartSearch, which specialises in anti-money laundering and due diligence checks, double its footprint at the scheme on the back of rapid recent growth at the business.
Oakapple Group chairman, Philip Taylor, commented: “It is great to have achieved a fully pre-let position and we are particularly pleased to have built on our relationship with SmartSearch”
Chief executive of SmartSearch, John Dobson, said: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to build our corporate home in Ilkley, which will deliver growth and benefits for the business and the surrounding area.
“We anticipate a team of around 200 staff will be required to complete our current plans, many of whom will be recruited from the local communities.”
