Veterinary Group Launch Uniformed Services Discount Scheme

Local people who work for the fire service and NHS, as well as those who serve in the Police, Army, Navy and RAF can benefit from a uniformed services discount for their pets thanks to the expansion of the discount initiative by White Cross Vets.

The family-run veterinary business has practices throughout the North West in St Helens, Gateacre, West Derby, Widnes and Walkden, and is backing those who work in the public sector by providing 10% off all bills, medication, food and other purchased products.

Anyone wanting to take advantage of the scheme can simply show their relevant ID when they visit the practices.

Vet Ginny Jones from White Cross Vets in St Helens says: “This scheme was originally born out of White Cross Vets’ ongoing support for a number of working dogs, such as fire and search dogs, that we provide free healthcare to every month as part of our wellness plan. These dogs do such an amazing job, we wanted to help make sure they were as healthy as possible.

“As an organisation that offers a valuable local service, we then decided to expand the initiative across all the Armed Forces and Emergency Services who also play a vital role within the community. Whilst many retailers and national brands offer similar benefits, as far as we’re aware, we’re the first veterinary group to offer such a scheme, which makes it an exciting prospect.”
