Earth Moves for Leedale as it Invests in Top-of-the-Range Equipment
A Derbyshire company has announced it will be investing half a million pounds in new equipment.
Leedale Ltd, which specialises in waste management, transport and environmental solutions, will invest in two 13 tonne Caterpillar tracked excavators from Finning (UK) Ltd at a cost of £80,000 each.
The South Normanton based company has also ordered two more tracked excavators which will arrive on September 1. The company is looking to expand into more contract earth moving management work, which owner Lee Walkup has done throughout his career.
Lee Walkup, said: “These purchases are all part of the plan to make sure that Leedale Ltd has the best equipment, keeping us at the forefront in our sector. “As the company grows, the vehicles and equipment we use need to be reliable and durable. We see this as a smart investment.”
Leedale Ltd has also invested half a million pound in three brand new VT 650 road sweepers from Johnston Road Sweepers, with brand new registration plates. Jake Wright from Finning (UK) Ltd, said: “We have worked with Leedale Ltd for a couple of years now, since they first purchased two Cat 308E’s.
“It’s fantastic to see how the business is evolving and continuing to be successful as the Cat fleet grow and with these four new 313FL GC’s.
“The 313FL GC requires no ad blue so is a fantastic solution for this size class to meet emissions regulations.
“We look forward to continuing our strong working relationship with Leedale.”
