Liverpool’s Echo Arena to double floor capacity with new Exhibition Centre space
Liverpool’s Echo Arena is doubling its floor capacity with a new live events space at the nearby Exhibition Centre.
Space by Echo Arena Liverpool, housed within the Exhibition Centre, will have standing room for up to 7,000 visitors, which is twice the number of people who can currently stand at the arena.
Entertainment at Space will range from large gigs to sporting events. The venue comprises three halls that can be used together or separately.
Commercial director Ben Williams said: “Space by Echo Arena Liverpool is the latest addition to our live events offer and complements Echo Arena, EchoTwo and The Auditorium Liverpool.
“Using the halls will enable us to host many more visitors all on one level – we currently host up to 3,600 people on the floor of the arena for gigs but this can now be almost doubled in Space by Echo Arena Liverpool.”
He added: “We can comfortably host simultaneous events in Echo Arena, l, ranging from entertainment to conferences to banqueting to exhibitions.”
Echo Arena and Exhibition Centre Liverpool are part of the ACC Liverpool Group, which also includes BT Convention Centre.
