ASPIRING FOOTBALLERS GIVEN OPPORTUNITY TO PLAY FULL TIME WITH NEW ACADEMY TEAM
Aspiring footballers are being given the opportunity to join a brand new academy team training daily with coaches who work with clubs such as Manchester United and Stoke City FC. Cheadle Town FC is inviting school leavers aged 16-18 to attend open trials for its new academy, with full-time playing vacancies available.
As part of a new partnership with Little Sports Coaching, the chosen players will train daily with coaches who work with professional teams including Manchester United, Stoke City, Bury FC and Rochdale FC while studying for a BTEC in Sport.
Little Sports Coaching is a company committed to providing quality training and education to aspiring footballers and coaches.
Players will have the opportunity to rise through the ranks to the Development Squad, Reserves and First Team while becoming fully qualified football coaches.
Craig Brennan, CEO of Little Sports Coaching said: “We are looking to take on 24 players to join our new academy team at Cheadle Town FC.
“We are looking for a mixture of players who might have been released from clubs, or any talented players who think they have what it takes to play in a semi-professional team.
“The chosen players will train throughout the week while studying for their BTEC qualification in Sport. A lot of aspiring footballers enter the profession with dreams of playing full time, but we think it is important to ensure students receive qualifications outside of football, so players on the academy team will become certified football coaches as part of their training, therefore other employment opportunities are open to them in the future.”
The trials will be held from 4pm-6pm on Wednesday 2nd August at Cheadle Town Football Club. Players need to fill in an application form beforehand.
