Lancashire County Cricket Club sign wealth management partner
Lancashire County Cricket Club (CCC) have signed an extended two-year sponsorship with financial services firm Brown Shipley.
The deal was marked with the launch of the Brown Shipley Club Suite, a newly branded space in the former home dressing room in the Pavilion at Emirates Old Trafford.
Brown Shipley has sponsored the club since 2013 but will now be their official wealth management partner until at least 2018.
As part of the agreement, Lancashire CCC and Brown Shipley plan to host a number of events in Manchester city centre for North West businesses.
Brown Shipley will also benefit from behind-the-scenes experiences and pitch-facing perimeter boarding at Emirates Old Trafford.
Lancashire CCC’s sales and marketing director, Justin Hopwood, commented: “Brown Shipley have been a long-serving partner of ours for a number of years now so we’re delighted that they have extended their relationship with us.
“I believe both Lancashire CCC and Brown Shipley have similar values, with both organisations having an incredibly long and proud history as well as a long-term focus in the North-West. We’re very much looking forward to working closely with another iconic North-West institution over the next two years and beyond.”
Ian Sackfield, CEO of London-headquartered Brown Shipley, said of the sponsorship: “This is an exciting time for Lancashire County Cricket Club and I am thrilled that Brown Shipley will be part of an actioned-packed calendar of events at Emirates Old Trafford this summer and next.
“As a business with a strong heritage and commitment to Manchester and the North West, I am also pleased to continue our partnership with one of the region’s preeminent sporting teams.”
Brown Shipley was founded in 1810 and today operates from six UK offices, including a site in Manchester.
