Work underway at £3m new homes development near Selby
Housebuilder Mandale Homes has begun work on a £3m development of 12 new homes on a brownfield site in Micklefield, west of Selby and close to Sherburn in Elmet and Garforth.
The ‘Manor Chase’ scheme of high-spec, three and four-bedroom houses, due for completion in April next year, has already seen high levels of interest from prospective buyers, with prices starting at £199,950 for a three-bedroom semi-detached house. The site, on Great North Road in Micklefield, was formerly occupied by agricultural outbuildings.
Richard Harriman, operations director at Mandale Homes, said: “Not only is it a great family-orientated community, with shops, a primary school and a pub, Micklefield has probably the best transport links of almost any village in the country. As well as its own railway station and just a 20 minute train journey into either York or Leeds, the A1 (M) and M1 motorways are both practically on the doorstep giving easy access to almost anywhere in Yorkshire.”
He added: “Each new development Mandale builds is designed individually to ensure there is an aesthetic fit with the local surroundings. Not surprisingly there has been considerable interest in this development from potential buyers, and five of the 12 properties have already been reserved off plan.”
Mandale Homes, which is based in Stockton on Tees, specialises in building small developments of homes in the north of England and currently has five residential sites underway in Yorkshire.
Further details of the houses for sale at Micklefield are available at www.MandaleHomes.com . A sales unit is currently open on the site.
